About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Fresh Food Category Manager to join our team at Talabat. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for researching, selecting, and purchasing high-quality products that meet our customers' needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Sourcing and Procurement: Identify and select the best products from various suppliers, ensuring that they meet our quality and freshness standards.
  • Market Analysis and Trend Identification: Analyze market trends and consumer behavior to make informed buying decisions that drive business growth.
  • Supply Chain Management: Manage logistics flows, including sea, air, and road transportation, to ensure timely delivery of products while maintaining freshness and quality.
  • Inventory Management: Update inventory levels and ensure that stock is maintained at optimal levels to meet customer demand.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate the best prices and terms.
  • Market Knowledge and Expertise: Possess in-depth knowledge of the fresh food industry, including product origins, seasons, competition, and market trends.
  • Business Acumen: Demonstrate strong business acumen, including the ability to calculate margins, manage budgets, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Adaptability and Flexibility: Demonstrate the ability to adapt quickly to changing market conditions, consumer preferences, and business needs.
Requirements
  • 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the fresh food industry.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to build strong relationships with suppliers.
  • Excellent market knowledge and expertise in the fresh food industry.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and make informed buying decisions.
  • Strong business acumen, including budget management and data analysis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing market conditions and business needs.
  • Valid driving license.
