About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Category Manager at Amazon. As a Category Manager, you will be responsible for driving business results and leading the development of our product categories.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Performance Management: You will be accountable for the business results of your product categories, including developing and growing vendor relationships, expanding product selection and vendor base, leading negotiations, and setting category strategy.
  • Category Strategy Development: You will be responsible for developing and implementing category strategies that drive sales and margin improvements, and create best-in-class customer experiences.
  • Vendor Relationship Management: You will manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure that vendors meet our quality and service standards.
  • Marketing and Sales: You will develop and implement marketing programs that drive sales and customer engagement, and work closely with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
  • Financial Analysis and Planning: You will analyze financial data and develop business plans that drive revenue growth and profitability.
Requirements
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in retail, operations, product or program management, or business management/consulting with negotiations and delivering results experience.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree, or 3+ years of professional or military experience.
  • Skills: Strong customer experience intuition, business and product sense, solid understanding of technical concepts, high judgment, ability to influence, analytical talent, exceptional communications, and leadership skills.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with financial analysis and P&L ownership, experience managing large data sets, and utilizing data to drive performance and process improvements.
