Optimiza is seeking a knowledgeable and skilled RedHat Technical Engineer to join our talented team. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing and managing RedHat Linux systems, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of RedHat technologies and a passion for delivering high-quality technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Integration of Red Hat Linux Servers

o Join all Red Hat Linux servers to IDM and Satellite platforms.

2. Operating System Updates

o Perform OS updates for all servers before adding them to IDM.

o Updates must be conducted during scheduled maintenance windows.

3. Migration from Local Accounts to IDM LDAP Accounts

o Replace all local accounts with IDM LDAP accounts.

o Implement proper RBAC (Role-Based Access Control) and Sudo permissions, coordinated and confirmed with the Infrastructure Team and System Owners.

o Requirements include:

§ RBAC based on "who can access what" principles.

§ Configure MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication) as an option.

§ Apply Password Policy standards.

§ Utilize Public Key Authentication.

§ Incorporate any additional best practices or suggestions from the supplier.

4. Maximize IDM, Satellite, and Ansible Features

o Utilize all available features of IDM, Satellite, and Ansible unless certain features are not applicable to infrastructure.

5. Build Redundant and Robust IDM Servers

o Establish a redundant and highly available IDM server infrastructure.

o Perform failover testing to ensure system reliability.

6. Integration and Hardening

o Integrate Red Hat Satellite and Ansible with IDM.

o Apply best practice security hardening policies on all servers joined to IDM, including but not limited to:

o Disabling outdated ciphers

o Configuring NTP (Network Time Protocol)

o Disabling IPv6

o Disabling unnecessary OS features

o Any other recommended hardening measures

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in managing RedHat Linux systems, with a comprehensive knowledge of RHEL administration.
  • Must have deep expertise in Red Hat Linux, IDM, Satellite, and Ansible.
  • Proficiency in virtualization technologies and container orchestration.
  • Familiarity with automation tools such as Ansible or Puppet is advantageous.
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities and the capacity to effectively resolve system-related issues.
  • Outstanding communication skills and the capability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., RedHat Certified System Administrator, RedHat Certified Engineer) are highly regarded.
  • A desire to learn and adapt in a rapidly changing technological environment.
  • Must follow industry best practices and suggest enhancements wherever possible.
  • All activities must be closely coordinated with Infrastructure and Security Teams.
