Duties and Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement detailed deployment designs Write and maintain technical implementation documentation on existing services and systems
• Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure
• Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools
• Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
• Monitor and test infrastructure performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions.
• Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies
• Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks
• Participate in the design of information and operational support systems
• Provide 2nd and 3rd level support
• Provide escalation support for infrastructure as needed (24/7)
• Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
• Ensure that new deployments are handed with appropriate documentation and training
• Perform Project Management roles for Implementation projects as needed, ensuring work is delivered on-time and to a high quality
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues when contacted by clients by providing both on-site and remote support.
• Provide coaching, leadership and technical expertise for other System Engineers, and provides expert advice Contribute to the development of new platforms and products in conjunction with the architect teams
• Works with Technical Engineers or other Technical Specialists as required and ensures any solution within their specific specialism fits with strategic and technical direction Ensures requirements are met and service quality maintained when introducing new services. Considers the cost effectiveness of proposed solutions
• Leads technical consultancy assignments which involve specialists from various disciplines, and takes responsibility for the quality, timely delivery and appropriateness of the team's recommendations
• Assists others in resolving complex technical problems and investigating the root cause of problems and recommends smart (specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, timely) solutions
• Run Instructor led classroom training.

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
• 6+ years' experience in at least two of the following :
• IT infrastructure
• System administration
• Cloud
• Virtualization
• Proven working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting VMWARE & NUTANIX
• Solid Cloud experience
• Experience with virtualization and containerization (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V and Nutanix)
• Experience with monitoring systems
• Experience with automation software (e.g., Puppet, Ansible, Chef)
• Solid scripting skills (e.g., shell scripts, Perl, Ruby, Python)
• Solid networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP)
• On-call
