IT Technical Writer

Optimiza is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced IT Technical Writer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining high-quality technical documentation that communicates complex information clearly and effectively. Your ability to translate technical concepts into user-friendly content will be essential in supporting our software solutions and technical processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create, edit, and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including user manuals, system documentation, API documentation, and knowledge base articles.
• Collaborate with software engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to gather information and ensure the accuracy of content.
• Develop documentation standards and best practices to maintain consistency and quality across all documents.
• Use diagrams, charts, and illustrations to enhance documentation and improve user understanding.
• Conduct reviews of documentation by end-users and stakeholders to gather feedback and make necessary revisions.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, tools, and techniques in technical writing and documentation.
• Manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously and prioritize work effectively to meet deadlines.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, English, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in technical writing, preferably in the IT or software development industry.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Proficiency in documentation tools such as MadCap Flare, Adobe FrameMaker, or similar software.
• Experience with version control and collaborative documentation tools (e.g., Confluence, Git).
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies, APIs, and technical concepts.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with technical teams.
• The ability to work independently and manage tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes is an advantage.
