Lead Fraud Prevention Specialist

This role is accountable for spearheading the department's fraud prevention efforts, ensuring the integrity of our financial transactions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in finance, accounting, or computer science, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in fraud detection and investigation.

  • Maintain awareness sessions to educate colleagues on fraud types, red flags, and best practices to prevent them.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to design and implement controls that safeguard our financial systems.
  • Evaluate and improve existing risk management processes to minimize vulnerabilities.
  • Analyze employee privileges to ensure data confidentiality and integrity.
  • Examine current services, products, and systems to identify potential risks.
  • Detect and assess fraudulent activities, designing effective mitigation strategies.
  • Utilize fraud management systems to identify suspicious transactions and monitor network activity.
  • Analyze transaction data to uncover patterns and trends.
  • Implement measures to prevent money laundering and other forms of financial crime.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies to combat new threats.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in fraud detection and investigation, including supervisory roles.
  • Preferred certifications: CFE, CFCS, CRMA.

  • Experience with fraud management systems and data analytics platforms.
  • Strong data analysis and investigative skills.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
