Accounting Specialist

We are seeking an Accounting Specialist to join our team. As an Accounting Specialist, you will be responsible for a variety of accounting activities including but not limited to journal entries, payables, fixed assets, inventory control, cost accounting, and reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Control and sustain the accuracy and compliances of accounting records and ensure coherence with company policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Control the Cash Closing Statement and ensure that the cash ledger balances match with bank notes and checks physical count.
  • Analyze inventory discrepancy report prepared and submitted by accountants and take appropriate actions.
  • Compile, input, and post monthly journal entries.
  • Reconcile periodically bank accounts, suppliers, sub-ledgers accounts, accruals accounts, etc.
  • Maintain petty cash by paying expenses that match within company policies and procedures.
  • Handle payments preparation processes and documentations.
  • Match daily bank deposit with cash collected and check bank positions.
  • Manage, organize, and update relevant data on Rentokil Boecker Systems.
  • Maintain data integrity on all Rentokil Boecker systems, forms, and reports.
  • Handle proper physical and electronic archiving system.
  • Supervise inventory physical count.
  • Assist in audit mission by preparing needed documents and statements requested by external and internal auditors.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent.
  • At least 4 years of experience in accounting.
  • Proficiency in English is a must. Arabic is a plus.
  • Computer Knowledge: Microsoft Office, Basic Accounting Software.
