Job Title: Head Driver Guide

At Accor, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Driver Guide to join our team. As a key member of our safari experience team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional game drive experiences to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver Exceptional Guest Experiences: Ensure the highest quality of game drive experience for our guests, exceeding their expectations and creating lifelong memories.
  • Host Guests with Excellence: Host guests in line with our camps/resort standard of excellence, demonstrating exceptional hospitality and attention to detail.
  • Environmental Stewardship: Always show an exceptional appreciation and sensitivity to the environment, promoting sustainable tourism practices and minimizing our ecological footprint.
  • Marketing and Reporting: Capture and send weekly reports to our marketing department for social media promotion, highlighting our guests' experiences and showcasing our resort's excellence.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Conscientiously maintain and care for our vehicles and related equipment, ensuring they are in excellent condition for our guests' use.
  • Administrative Tasks: Carry out administrative duties in a timely and effective manner, supporting the smooth operation of our safari experience team.
  • Teamwork and Training: Achieve excellence through teamwork, conducting regular training sessions for our department and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Monthly Reporting: Prepare and submit monthly safari/fleet department reports, highlighting key achievements and areas for improvement.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum two years in a similar role, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Certifications: Holder of a Silver medal from the Kenya Professional and Safari Guides Association (KPSGA), demonstrating expertise in safari guiding and leadership.
  • Industry Experience: Experience in the hotel industry, preferably in a resort setting, with a strong understanding of hospitality and customer service principles.
  • Skills: Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to convey information and ideas clearly and effectively.
  • Adaptability: Ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations, with a focus on attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, and courtesy.
