Job Title: Deputy Director

At the International Rescue Committee, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Director to join our team in Amman, Jordan. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of Shared Services in our Amman office, ensuring a positive and inclusive work environment for our staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Management: Serve as primary leadership contact for the delivery of Shared Services, providing overall management of the office space and ensuring allocation of space to create a diverse and positive working environment.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Partner and collaborate with relevant teams and units to ensure necessary tools, information, and technology are available for the Amman Office Shared Services teams and hosted staff.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with internal stakeholders to understand their business drivers and needs, providing direction on Amman Office Host management capacity, employee engagement, and host cost implications.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Establish good working relationships with relevant government departments to ensure that Amman Office operations are following host government regulations and the terms of IRC's Host Agreement.
  • Policy Implementation: Ensure IRC Global initiatives, strategies, and policies are adequately implemented and maintained, guiding regular updates of GREWS global policy and procedural documents.
  • Operational Efficiency: Identify opportunities for improvement and make recommendations for updating/revising existing policies and procedures to achieve efficiency and effectiveness in operations.
