Job Title: Deputy Chief of Party

DAI is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Deputy Chief of Party to support the Jordan Himaya project, a USAID-funded activity aimed at enhancing access to and quality of essential services and protection for survivors of gender-based violence (GBV) in Jordan.

The Deputy Chief of Party will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of survivor-centered services and the strengthening of legislative frameworks to protect GBV survivors. This position requires a proactive, collaborative, and strategic approach to manage complex project components effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic direction and oversight for the project's two main outcomes, in collaboration with the Chief of Party.
  • Manage the Institutional Capacity Lead and Legislation and Policy Lead, ensuring alignment with project goals.
  • Develop and implement Annual Work Plans and quarterly reports across both outcomes.
  • Ensure technical activities are compliant, effective, and produce quality results, including frequent travel to oversee regional interventions.
  • Design grants, subcontracts, and consultant agreements impacting project activities, in collaboration with the Director of Finance and Operations.
  • Support staff under both outcomes, fostering a collaborative environment and promoting capacity building.
  • Maintain relationships with key Government of Jordan (GOJ) institutions, civil society organizations, and private sector partners.
  • Regularly report on activity progress and contribute to knowledge management efforts, ensuring lessons learned inform future interventions.
