We're seeking a Shift Manager to join our team in Veracruz, Mexico. As a Shift Manager, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our delivery station, overseeing the management of our delivery service providers, and driving process improvements to enhance productivity and customer satisfaction.
Main Responsibilities:
- Operational Planning: Review operational forecasts and determine productivity requirements for sort operations, ensuring that our team meets all building goals.
- Safety and Quality: Support all safety programs to maintain a safe work environment for all associates and delivery service providers, and ensure that our delivery station meets the highest standards of service quality.
- Process Improvement: Proactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives, leveraging Lean tools to drive efficiency and productivity gains.
- Supervisory Responsibilities: Lead a team of process assistants and delivery service providers, including meetings, training sessions, assigning job duties, and communicating with management representatives and drivers.
- Operational Support: Assist with daily operations, including receiving, scanning, lifting, and moving shipments, routing shipments within our coverage area, and supporting job duties for process assistants.
- Adaptability: Demonstrate the ability to adapt to sudden changes and growth according to operational necessities.
- Performance Monitoring: Track and monitor sorting operations and driver dispatch, ensuring that our delivery station operates efficiently and effectively.
Requirements:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
- Ability to work in a construction/distribution environment that may be noisy, unlit, unheated, and not air-conditioned.
- Continual standing and/or walking an average of 5 miles daily.
