Groups & Meeting Executive

As a Groups and Meetings Executive, you will be responsible for driving group and event business to the hotel. You'll manage enquiries, build strong client relationships, and ensure the seamless delivery of meetings and events from start to finish.

A little taste of your day-to-day

Every day is different at IHG, but you'll mostly be:

  • Coordinating and managing group bookings and meetings/ Events enquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Prepare and send out accurate proposals, contracts, and event orders.
  • Collaborating with other departments, such as Sales and Catering, to ensure seamless execution of events. 
  • Work closely with operations teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
  • Managing logistics and details of events, including room setup, audiovisual equipment, and catering.
  • Handling administrative tasks related to booking, contracts, and billing.
  • Keep accurate records of all activities using the hotel's CRM and sales systems.
  • Staying updated on industry trends and competitor offering to remain competitive in the market.
  • Uploading brand standards and policies to ensure consistency and quality in service delivery.
  • Escort group guests as necessarily and meets group leaders on regular basis to ensure guest satisfaction.

What we need from you

  • Previous groups, meetings and events experience in a hotel or sales role.
  • Passion for providing excellent client experience and client engagement
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
  • Confidence in proactively preventing problems and ability to handle service recovery following any complaints
  • Love of working in a fast-paced and motivated team with a desire to take the next step in your career
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Willingness to work as part of a team and learn new things
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent
  • Fluency in English Language and Arabic language, both spoken and written is a must.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and hotel sales systems (Opera, Delphi, or similar).
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
