Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Financial Controller to join our team and lead our Commercial & Accounting department. As the Lead Financial Controller, you will be responsible for spearheading all financial, accounting, and treasury operations across all group companies. You will play a vital role in establishing, implementing, and monitoring financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems.

Responsibilities:
  1. Financial Strategy: Develop and execute financial strategies in alignment with the company's overall objectives and growth plans. Provide valuable insights and recommendations to the executive team for informed decision-making.
  2. Financial Planning and Analysis: Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis processes. Monitor and analyze financial performance, identify trends, and propose corrective actions where necessary. Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for senior management and stakeholders.
  3. Financial Operations Management: Oversee all accounting activities, including general ledger management, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and financial transaction processing. Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and company policies.
  4. Treasury and Cash Management: Manage cash flow and liquidity, including forecasting and optimizing working capital. Develop and implement effective treasury management strategies to minimize risk and maximize returns.
  5. Internal Controls: Establish and enforce robust internal control systems to safeguard company assets, ensure accuracy of financial records, and prevent fraud. Continuously assess and enhance control procedures.
  6. Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with tax, legal, and regulatory requirements. Prepare and submit financial statements, tax returns, and other statutory reports accurately and on time.
  7. Internal Reporting: Establish and implement internal reporting processes to provide accurate and timely financial information to key stakeholders. Ensure that all reporting is performed flawlessly, without delay. Develop and maintain reporting frameworks, templates, and systems to support effective decision-making and strategic planning.
  8. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the Commercial & Accounting team, providing guidance, coaching, and professional development opportunities. Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Master's degree or CPA qualification is preferred.
  • Proven experience (at least 7 years) as a Financial Controller or a similar role in a complex and dynamic business environment.
  • Strong knowledge of financial management principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Experience in leading financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Solid understanding of internal controls and risk management.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
