Job Description

We are seeking a senior technical officer to lead our efforts in victim assistance and explosive ordnance risk education in the occupied Palestinian territory.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in humanitarian mine action and armed violence reduction, with a strong background in victim assistance and referrals.

  • Lead on delivering needs assessments for victim assistance and EORE/CPP activities;
  • Support the development of a comprehensive approach to VA for HI in oPt;
  • Contribute to the implementation of emergency preparedness actions and adapt work modality during an emergency;

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical guidance and support to project managers;
  • Monitor compliance with national and international standards and organizational SOPs;
  • Liaise with external actors as required;
  • Contribute to the representation of HI in the Mine Action AoR and the EORE/CPP technical working group;

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience in HMA or AVR;
  • Previous experience working on VA and referrals;
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritise and work under high pressure;
  • Committed to community-driven, participatory approaches;

Benefits:

  • 6 months international contract starting from July 2025;
  • Salary from €2448 gross/month upon experience;
  • Per diem: Jordan (€756.27 net/month), Palestine (€848 net/month);
  • Hardship allowance: Gaza (€500 net/month);
  • Paid leaves: 25 days per year;
  • R&R: Level 3;
