Legal Manager sought by JTI to support Head of Legal in advising cluster and factories on legal and regulatory matters, ensuring compliance and managing legal risks.

Main responsibilities:

  • Legal Advisory: Provide business-oriented legal advice, including high-profile commercial law matters, corporate governance, and product manufacturing legal guidance.
  • Project Management: Lead legal projects, including sensitive employment law matters, and provide support to management across the Cluster.
  • Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, and provide related legal advice and training.
  • Product Regulation: Advise on product regulations, ensure compliance, and review marketing materials.
  • Training: Develop and deliver training on competition law, sanctions, commercial law, and other relevant topics.
  • Litigation & Arbitration: Support the Head of Legal in litigation and arbitration matters.
  • Budget Management: Assist with budget management for the legal department.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in law or equivalent from a reputable university.
  • LLM from a common law jurisdiction (desirable).
  • Admitted as a lawyer with the Jordan Bar Association.
  • At least 5 years of first-class experience as a lawyer with a top-tier or regional firm, or in-house with an FMCG company.
  • Advanced level of English, particularly sufficient for communicating/handling legal matters.
  • Strong communication, decision-making, analysis, and problem-solving skills.

About the position: The Legal Manager will work closely with the Head of Legal to provide legal advice and support to the cluster and factories, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
