Optimiza is seeking a skilled Senior Apigee Developer to join our elite team of technology professionals. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and managing API solutions using Apigee, a leading API management platform. Your expertise will be critical in helping our clients optimize their API ecosystems to enhance performance, security, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement APIs using Apigee, ensuring adherence to best practices for API design, security, and versioning.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into effective API solutions.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot API performance and usage metrics, implementing necessary optimizations and improvements.
  • Implement security measures for APIs, including OAuth, rate limiting, and API key management.
  • Create and maintain documentation for APIs, including specifications, usage guidelines, and best practices.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide mentorship to junior developers, fostering a culture of excellence within the team.
  • Stay current with new features and industry trends related to Apigee and API management solutions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in API development and management, with a strong focus on Apigee.
  • Proficient in web technologies including REST, SOAP, JSON, and XML.
  • Strong understanding of API security practices and implementation.
  • Experience integrating APIs with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python) for API development and automation tasks.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Relevant Apigee or API management certifications are a plus.
