We are seeking a proactive and skilled Cyber Security Specialist to support the protection of both our internal infrastructure and that of our managed service partners. The role is responsible for securing a range of systems, including Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, Azure, AWS, Linux, and Windows environments. The successful candidate will contribute to security audits, vulnerability management, and the implementation of robust security controls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Secure Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, Azure, AWS, and Windows desktop/server environments across both internal infrastructure and client environments.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with internal teams and client stakeholders to secure IT environments through appropriate security measures, policies, and initiatives.
  • Design, implement, and manage security controls across SIEM, endpoint and server protection platforms, identity services, web protection systems, and other relevant security technologies. This includes developing KQL queries to enhance detection and response capabilities.
  • Conduct regular security reviews of TDM Group and client environments to ensure ongoing compliance and risk mitigation.
  • Assist the SOC team in responding to cyber security incidents where required.
  • Provide technical advice on security controls, conduct risk assessments, and support the development of client security strategies.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of internal and client-facing security policies, training and documentation.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, cyber security, or a closely related field.
  • 2 years experience in relevant positions at a minimum.
  • Professional certifications:
    • Microsoft Security Operations Analyst Associate (SC-200)
    • Microsoft Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500)
    • CompTIA Security+

Desired

  • Microsoft Cybersecurity Architect (SC-100)

Experience and Skills

  • Proven experience with Microsoft security tools, Azure platform management, and Windows security.
  • Competence in Linux and Windows system administration from a security perspective.
  • Knowledge of cloud, network, and system security fundamentals.
  • Experience conducting security audits and analysing logs to identify threats and vulnerabilities, including the use of KQL for querying data within Microsoft Sentinel or similar platforms.
  • Experience with administering web protection systems, including configuration, monitoring, and maintenance.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical security controls to less technical client stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Commitment to continuous professional development in the cyber security field.
  • Willingness to provide on-call support for high-priority security incidents.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

TDM Group Amman Office hours are from Monday to Friday, 10:30 AM-7:00 PM.
