We are looking for a Junior Accountant, Accounts Payable to join our team in Amman. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting our Accounts Payable (AP) operations. You'll process invoices, assist with vendor communications, and help maintain accurate financial records. This is a 1-year project-based role with the potential for conversion into a full-time employee (FTE) position based on business needs and performance. It's a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop your skills within a dynamic and supportive environment.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Process supplier invoices and ensure timely and accurate data entry into the accounting system.

  • Assist with vendor communications, responding to inquiries and resolving basic issues.

  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to accounts payable.

  • Help reconcile accounts payable transactions and maintain up-to-date records.

  • Assist in preparing reports and documentation as needed by the AP team.

  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure proper invoice approvals and resolve discrepancies.

  • Ad-Hoc assignments/ reports as per the direct supervisor's request

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • Fresh graduate or up to 1 year of relevant experience in accounts payable or accounting.

  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (especially Excel); experience with accounting software is a plus.

  • Eagerness to learn and grow within the finance field.

  • Candidate must be based in Amman
