M&A Tax Specialist

Our M&A Tax Specialist will review and reconcile tax balances of acquired clients. As a highly skilled specialist, contributes to the development of concepts and techniques. Completes complex tasks in creative and effective ways. Consistently works on complex assignments requiring independent action and a high degree of initiative to resolve issues. Makes recommendations for new procedures. Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments. Exercises initiative and judgement in completing recurring assignments. Often acts as a facilitator and team leader.

Core Job Duties

Executes the acquisition M&A project planAssists in maintaining a tax project planAnalyzes and balances liabilities through the acquisitionAnalyzes and exports tax filing history to ensure complianceIdentifies tax filing issues through reconciliation and balancing of accountsConfigures isolved with client tax filing informationCommunicates clients' tax configuration instructions Submits documentation to agenciesWorks with and updates Tax Manager on tax plan as well as updating them on any tax issuesAttends weekly meetings with team to supply information on tax updates per projectAssists with updating M&A platform with East/West isolved tax informationAssists with updating isolved tax maintenance screens for each client with isolved's frequencies and payment methodsExtracts quarterly return packages and historical data from acquired company's tax software into Box.Links clients' tax accounts to isolved's online TPA accounts.Creates and emails clients' instructions on how to choose isolved as their reporting agent so isolved can have online access to the clients' tax accountsSubmits documentation to agencies for ACH/EFT Pin numbers as needed for payment submissionsSubmits documentation to agencies for state tax account validations Submits EFTPS for acquired company's federal taxesAssisting with handling flipping of liability payments by going into Mastertax and switching payments from pending to prepaid along with suppling a copy of the deposit history into box for tax implementation team for each wave.

Minimum Qualifications

1-4 years HCM/Payroll and Tax ExperienceAbility to self-manage and independently deliver solutionsGreat communication skills, not afraid to communicate with clients and agencies1-2 years Mastertax experience is helpful
