Our organization is seeking a seasoned professional to oversee our data privacy initiatives and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive data privacy policies and procedures that align with legal requirements.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and data privacy impact assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for data privacy-related inquiries from internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Provide training and awareness programs for employees to promote a culture of privacy and ensure understanding of data protection responsibilities.
  • Monitor changes in data protection laws and regulations and lead initiatives to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Collaborate with IT, legal, and business units to ensure data management practices align with privacy requirements.
  • Prepare reports for executive leadership and compliance audits.
  • Respond to data subject requests and manage processes related to data access, correction, and deletion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Information Technology, or a related field; a Master's degree or relevant certifications are desirable.
  • 7+ years of experience in data privacy, compliance, or legal roles, with a focus on data protection regulations.
  • In-depth understanding of data privacy laws and regulations.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing data privacy policies and practices within an organization.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct comprehensive risk assessments and audits.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience in conducting privacy training and awareness programs.
  • Relevant certifications are highly desirable.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
