Lead Software Architect

As a seasoned software architect, you will lead the development team to design and build scalable data analytics platforms. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to research, design, implement, and improve platform functionalities as part of a big data ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop next-gen data analytics platforms that provide robust data management, ETL pipelines, ML models integrations, rich visualizations, and information management.
  • Proactively prototype new ideas/components; transform existing proof-of-concepts into production-grade components.
  • Enhance code quality through unit testing, automation, and performing code reviews.
  • Work with product and design teams to understand end-user requirements, formulate use cases, and translate them into effective technical solutions.
  • Take ownership of entire functional areas.
  • Improve and maintain test coverage.
  • Participate in architecture discussions.
  • Document activities and ensure compliance with QHSE policies, procedures, plans, and related risk assessments.

Requirements:

  • Computer science background with expertise in common data structures and algorithms.
  • 8-10 years of experience building SPA web applications (React, JavaScript frameworks like NextJS) and backend systems (Java).
  • Hands-on mastery of traditional RDBMS (Postgres or MariaDB) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, Elastic Stack DynamoDB).
  • Docker, Kubernetes, HPC computing knowledge.
  • Web fundamentals: protocols, modern web standards.
  • Complex state management (Redux/Mobx), composition patterns, hooks, data access.
  • Experience wrapping JS libraries (SKDs) with framework abstractions.
  • Solid web foundation knowledge (HTML, DOM CSS); Tailwind is a plus.
  • Strong Java knowledge (JSCP and/or Oracle certified professional Java SE11).
  • Experience working with Spring core components (Security, Data/JPA, Web) and low-level JDBC.
  • Building durable long-running processing pipelines, task orchestration, scheduling.
  • Application profiling and low-level optimizations.
  • Fluent SQL.
