About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Talent Acquisition Manager to join our team at Canonical. As a key member of our hiring team, you will be responsible for leading our talent acquisition efforts and driving our hiring strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Talent Acquisition Efforts: Develop and implement a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy to attract and hire top talent for our organization.
  • Drive Hiring Strategy: Collaborate with our leadership team to develop and execute a hiring strategy that aligns with our business objectives.
  • Manage Analytics Projects: Lead analytics projects to gain deep insights into our hiring processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Build Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with our hiring leadership stakeholders to drive our hiring agenda.
  • Thought Leadership: Establish yourself as a thought leader on talent initiatives and drive best practices in our organization.
  • Talent Interviews: Conduct in-depth behavioral talent interviews to gain insights into candidate motivations and behaviors.
  • Assessment Effectiveness: Review and improve our assessment processes to ensure they are effective in identifying top talent.
  • Employer Branding: Develop and implement an employer branding strategy that supports our inclusive environment and diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
Requirements
  • Education: An undergraduate or postgraduate degree in psychology or industrial psychology, or a compelling narrative about your alternative chosen path, together with an exceptional academic track record.
  • Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical mindset with solid evidence of driving analytical projects and storytelling through data to drive change.
  • Technical Skills: Skilled in one of the following: R, Python, SQL, building BI dashboards.
  • Management Experience: Exceptional management experience, leading analytical mindsets and projects that drive efficiency and deliver results.
  • Thought Leadership: A thought leader in the talent space with the ability to influence best practice and drive a high-performance organization.
  • Talent Topics: Good exposure to key talent topics, including competency-based interviews, psychometric assessments, employer branding, candidate experience, and diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to work with senior stakeholders to drive a professional outlook on hiring talent and challenge the status quo.
  • Hiring Tools: Experience in configuring hiring tools that enable the selection process.
