Business Intelligence Consultant Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Business Intelligence (BI) consultant to join our analytics team.

This role involves leveraging your BI expertise to design, develop, and implement data-driven solutions that drive strategic decision-making for clients. You will work closely with clients to understand their business needs and translate them into technical requirements and BI strategies.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop BI solutions, including dashboards, reports, and data visualizations tailored to meet client requirements.
  • Collaborate with clients to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can enhance business performance.
  • Optimize existing BI solutions by improving performance, usability, and data accuracy.
  • Provide training and support to clients in the use of BI tools and best practices for data-driven decision-making.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and emerging BI technologies to continuously enhance our service offerings.
  • Lead and mentor junior BI consultants and analysts, promoting a culture of knowledge sharing and professional development.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or related fields.
  • Extensive experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and database management systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server).
  • Proven experience in data modeling, reporting, and data visualization techniques.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering actionable insights.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with clients and team members.
  • Relevant BI certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate, Tableau Desktop Specialist) are a plus.
