About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Support Officer to join our team in the MENA and South Asia region. As a key member of our School Exams team, you will play a critical role in supporting the implementation of our strategy and delivering projects and initiatives that align with our goals.

Key Responsibilities

**Project Management**

  • Support Project Managers in standardizing project management processes, including creating templates and training staff on their use.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to implement projects, including selecting the most suitable methodology, developing business cases, and providing stakeholders with accurate and reliable information to inform decision-making.
  • Develop tools to provide a consolidated view of ongoing projects, including budgets, forecasts, actuals, and margins, and ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Manage data, including data entry, quality assurance, basic analysis, and developing progress reports to meet stakeholder needs.
  • Ensure internal compliance with due diligence, records management, data collection, and storage.

**Market and Customer Intelligence**

  • Develop a deep understanding of market needs in the region.
  • Conduct basic market research and competitor analysis to inform insights into market potential and business opportunities.
  • Stay up-to-date with product/sector knowledge and maintain a forward-thinking approach.

**Relationship and Stakeholder Management**

  • Manage relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders at an appropriate level.
  • Manage vendor and supplier relationships, ensuring timely delivery of services.

**Commercial and Financial Management**

  • Support the development of systems and tools for regular financial analysis and reporting.
  • Collaborate on the development of systems and tools to collate performance data, monitor progress, and identify trends.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in accordance with audit requirements.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to ensure partnership agreements are understood and signed off.
  • Review and refresh contracts as needed.
  • Ensure timely payments to vendors and compliance with British Council financial policies and procedures.
