Job Summary

  • We are seeking a skilled IT Procurement Specialist to manage our organization's IT procurement processes.

The ideal candidate will have experience in sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing IT goods and services while ensuring compliance with policies and maximizing value.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective IT procurement strategies that align with organizational technology needs and budgetary constraints.
  • Lead the sourcing process for IT products and services, including conducting market research, evaluating suppliers, and negotiating contracts.
  • Work closely with IT and other departments to understand their requirements and provide timely procurement solutions.
  • Review and assess supplier performance, ensuring adherence to service level agreements (SLAs) and quality standards.
  • Manage procurement documentation, maintain accurate records of all purchases, contracts, and supplier communications.
  • Monitor market trends and emerging technologies to inform procurement decisions and leverage new opportunities.
  • Train and mentor junior procurement staff on best practices and procurement policies.
  • Collaborate with finance and legal teams to ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in IT procurement or technology sourcing.
  • Strong knowledge of IT products, services, and procurement processes.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with a proven track record in securing favorable terms.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficient in procurement management software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Professional certification in procurement or supply chain management is preferred.
