UNOPS is seeking a highly experienced Senior Economic Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will have a minimum of ten years of progressively responsible experience in economic research and analysis, policy formulation, and application of economic principles in peacebuilding and development programmes. The ideal candidate will have experience at the international level, with a strong background in collaboration and designing interventions with Member States, International Financial Institutions, or UN Agencies, Funds, and Programmes. Additionally, the candidate should have a minimum of two years of experience in directly advising on economic issues during political negotiations from both the side of the mediation team and governments. The successful candidate will also have a minimum of two years of senior-level experience working in UN or related large multilateral organizations in the planning/coordination of development/humanitarian financing. The Senior Economic Officer will be responsible for providing expert advice on economic issues, developing and implementing economic policies, and coordinating with stakeholders to achieve programme objectives. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
