During a humanitarian crisis, we provide additional support to response efforts through deployments of technical specialists. We maintain a humanitarian roster of more than 1000 technical experts across a range of skill areas including, but not limited to: information management, MEAL, coordination, protection, AAP, PSEAH, disability inclusion peacekeeping and stabilization, disaster risk management and risk reduction, gender and communications. About the job RedR Australia is a prominent global player in the international humanitarian sector. Every year, from a roster of humanitarian experts, we deploy experienced professionals to respond to conflict and crises to 30+ countries through our partnerships with UN agencies, governments, multilateral organisations and INGOs. We also provide world class humanitarian training for hundreds of participants around the globe. The Programme Officer will report directly to the Programme Manager in the country office and play a crucial role in ensuring the effective implementation, coordination, and capacity building efforts within the program in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Development. The opportunity Provide technical advice to the Ministry of Social Development (MoSD) on various aspects of the program, including gender equality and empowerment of women and girls, protection (gender-based violence and child protection), safeguarding, accountability to affected populations, results-based monitoring and reporting, and beneficiary management. Coordinate capacity-building efforts for staff engaged in supporting program processes. Coordinate the process of gathering information for the program implementation in host communities. Collaborate with field colleagues and MoSD staff in the beneficiary selection process. Prepare progress reports on program implementation. Offer technical advice on the development of systems, processes, and mechanisms to support staff in program planning, implementation, monitoring, and progress reporting. Provide technical assistance and support for the institutional design and development aimed at improving gender mainstreaming Manage the process of identifying and synthesizing good practices and lessons learned related to the program's implementation in host communities and capacity development initiatives conducted by MoSD. Review the country portfolio evaluation Identify gaps and areas of improvement for staff within the program, with a focus on implementation, sustainability, and national ownership. Assist in developing a results framework and indicators for the program in collaboration with MoSD. Consider best practices and the local context, with a particular emphasis on sustainability and national ownership. Support in developing a roadmap for the rollout of the redesigned program Assist in developing a communication strategy and knowledge products for the new proposed approach in consultation with MoSD. About you DAt least 5 years of progressively responsible experienced in capacity development At least 3 years of experience in designing and implementing gender and protection related capacity development initiatives Good technical knowledge of women’s empowerment and social protection programmes Demonstrated experience of working in challenging knowledge-based and results based management environments Ability to engage substantively with networks of professionals in national institutions Demonstrated sensitivity, discretion, tact, and courtesy in relation to gender equality and women’s rights, development principles, implementing partners, and national and international personnel of varied nationalities and backgrounds.
