What we are looking for:
A seasoned professional who has experience in quality programming through business development and grants management for multi-country and/or region. The job holder will provide a specific support to the NRC Human Mobility Hub that covers Tunisia and Egypt through partnerships. They will also provide advice, guidance and capacity building support to grants staff and partners.
What you will do:
- Grant Management: Responsible to set up and continuously improve internal grant management systems and processes for the development of high-quality proposals; analyse, and share learning from proposal and reporting processes, and compliance with donor rules and regulations.
- Donor compliance and reporting: Ensure compliance of the Regional Office and the HMH with NRC Project Cycle Management (PCM) Framework and facilitate PCM activities, including inclusion of cross-cutting programme elements and Monitoring and Evaluation structures throughout all stages of the PCM.
- Capacity Building: Responsible for providing or organizing training and capacity building of programme and support staff on NRC grants management, proposal and report writing, donor rules and regulations, and Project Cycle Management (PCM). Work with the relevant stakeholders to contribute to training and capacity building on internal and donor compliance requirements.
- Funding Identification and Proposal Development: Support the Regional Head of Programme Support Unit (RHoPDSU), the Regional Head of Business Development Unit, the Regional Programme Director (RPD) and the Regional Director (RD) to develop a context-specific fundraising strategy, and ensure it is aligned with NRC Regional Strategy. This includes identifying funding trends, donor mapping exercises, donor engagement matrix, and development of Capacity Statements. Actively support the RHoPDSU, RPD and RD in donor engagement.
- Coordination of Regional and Multi-country grants: Coordinate multi-country meetings with grantees including grant opening, review and closing as well as meetings with the consortia coordination unit (as per relevant).
- Assessments and Partnerships Agreements: Lead on organisational assessments related to Regional, multi-countries, HMH grants of Partners as per NRC’s procedures.

What you will bring:
- Five years of relevant experience in donor relations and grants management within a relevant context (e.g., with institutional humanitarian and development donors)
- Experience working in complex environments and with Displacement affected people.
- Good understanding of donor rules and regulations Knowledge of institutional donors’ rules, regulations, priorities, and compliance requirements – NMFA, SIDA, SDC, BHA, UNHCR, ECHO etc
- Proven skills and experience in developing high quality reports and proposals and working with multiple donors.
- Significant experience in managing coordination and communication within multipart or complex environments, alongside excellent interpersonal abilities.
- Expertise in cross-functional management environments, coupled with exceptional teamwork abilities.
- Good personal organisational skills, including time management, and ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
- Good cultural awareness and sensitivity
- Willingness to travel to area offices and work in difficult environment according to travel requirements.
- Knowledge of the NGO operations and the dynamics of the humanitarian sector in the Middle East.
- Able to demonstrate experience of contributing to positive organisational change.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English. French and/or Arabic is highly desirable.
What we offer:
- Duty Station: Amman, Jordan
- Contract: 12 months (Fixed-term renewable based on performance, funding and need for the position)
- Travel: Upto 30% within the region.

The Regional Programme Department, based in Amman and managed by the Regional Programme Director, is responsible for the strategic development of NRC programming in the region by maximizing the support to and the development of Country Offices’ (CO) as well as by exploring and creating synergies among COs. The Regional Programme Department is focused on research, policies, guidance and procedures, evidence and learning, capacity building, programme quality and donor relations. The department includes a Core Competency and Thematic Unit, a Durable Solutions Unit and Business Development Unit and a Programme Development and Support Unit with some additional functions.
The Regional Grants Manager, based in the Middle East Regional Office (MERO) and managed by the Regional Head of Programme Development and Support, is responsible for contributing to the achievement of quality programming in the region through business development and grants management for multi-country and/or regional grants. The RGM will provide a specific support to the NRC Human Mobility Hub that covers Tunisia and Egypt through partnerships. The post holder will also provide advice, guidance and capacity building support to grants staff and partners.
