DWH Modeler

Optimiza is seeking a highly skilled Data Warehouse (DWH) Modeler to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and managing data models that enable efficient data storage, retrieval, and analysis in our data warehouse environment. Your expertise will help drive data-driven decision-making by ensuring that our data architecture meets the evolving needs of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement robust data models for the data warehouse, ensuring optimal structure and organization of data for reporting and analysis.
• Collaborate with business analysts to understand data requirements and translate them into effective logical and physical data models.
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy through the development of data validation rules and data quality checks.
• Work closely with ETL developers to design ETL processes that support the data warehouse architecture, facilitating efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading.
• Conduct performance tuning and optimization of data models to ensure scalability and speed of access to data.
• Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging trends in data modeling, data warehousing, and big data technologies.
• Document data models, design processes, and data flows to ensure knowledge sharing and future reference.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in data modeling and data warehousing.
• Strong proficiency in dimensional modeling, star schema, and snowflake schema design.
• Experience with data modeling tools (e.g., Erwin, IBM Data Architect, Microsoft Visio).
• Familiarity with ETL tools and processes, and understanding of SQL for data manipulation and querying.
• Excellent analytical skills with a solid understanding of database management systems and data architectures.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, capable of working in a team-oriented environment.
• Certifications related to data warehousing, data modeling, or relevant technologies are preferred.
