JOB TITLE: Agile Project Manager
RESPONSIBLE TO: Agile PM Lead
MAIN LOCATION: Amman, Jordan
Objective:
APG eCommerce Solutions is a fast-growing startup specializing in cross-border eCommerce logistics, driven by a culture of innovation. As an Agile Project Manager, you will not only oversee traditional project management responsibilities such as planning, risk management, stakeholder engagement, and progress tracking, but also take on the pivotal role of improve the current software delivery process. This process will foster experimentation and prototyping to assess value effectively, drawing from lean startup methodologies and similar approaches.
Reporting to the Agile PM Lead, you will collaborate closely with C-level executives, department heads, and teams across the organization to support ongoing developments and drive innovation
Key responsibilities:
- Enhance the software delivery process by redefining how product ideas are generated, tested, validated, and transformed into functional software, effectively reimagining the entire product development lifecycle
- Conduct business analysis to uncover the underlying purpose and value behind feature requests.
- Take ownership of the entire software development lifecycle, from initial idea or feature request to production launch, including all intermediate steps.
- Develop and nurture strong relationships with team members, C-level executives, department heads, and external vendors.
- Provide support to team members in managing projects and aligning expectations.
Project Management skills:
- Ability to define project scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables
- Identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies
- Experience in the eCommerce, logistics, or supply chain industry.
- Familiarity with project management frameworks like Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and traditional Waterfall
- Managing competing priorities to ensure critical deadlines are met.
- Balancing the needs and expectations of clients, team members, and other stakeholders
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently without guidance and as part of a team.
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
- A business-oriented mindset that can balance short-term benefits with long-term stability of the system.
- Creativity and out-of-the-box thinking.
- High level of attention to detail.
Technical Skills:
- Understanding software development, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and IT services.
- Coordinating efforts to integrate new and existing systems or platforms.
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for IT projects involving cloud computing.
- Using tools like Excel, Power BI to analyze project metrics and performance.
Desirable Skills
- Project Management Professional (PMP): Industry-standard certification for project managers.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM): For Agile-focused projects.
- ITIL Certification: Knowledge of IT service management.
- PRINCE2 Certification: Project management methodology widely used in IT.
- Proven & demonstrable experience in Lean startup methodology for market and product fit assessment.
- Proven & demonstrable experience in Design thinking methodology for user fit assessment.
Additional Requirements:
- In addition to the responsibilities listed above the post holder may be required to perform other duties assigned by the Senior Management Team from time-to-time. Subject to adequate experience and/or training.
- To participate in the annual performance appraisal process and objective scheme.
- To work in accordance with all APG policies including Health and Safety, Employment, Staff, Quality and Environmental.
- To adhere to company wide information security policies, as outlined and agreed within the first month of employment.
