Key Accountabilities:

  • Monitor and analyze the impact of regulations on the business and provide guidance to senior management on key strategic regulatory issues.
  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory developments and provide advice to senior management on key matters related to telecom and digital market developments.
  • Study and analyze policies and regulations issued or to be issued, and coordinate the company's position on key regulatory matters.
  • Assess the operational impact of changes in policies, laws, and regulations on Orange Jordan's telecom and digital services, and provide recommendations and operational risk assessments to management.
  • Prepare and coordinate all relevant communications, including official statements, internal briefings, and memos on key regulatory matters.
  • Manage and follow regulatory consultations issued by the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (TRC) and other local authorities, and submit responses after making necessary assessments.
  • Advocate for the transformation of national ICT policies, laws, and regulations in readiness for digital services.
  • Act as the regulatory contact point for data protection regulations and governance.
  • Monitor and assess international regulatory developments, particularly in respect of international best practice.
  • Maintain a database of digital services-related policies, laws, and regulations applicable to Orange Jordan's activities.
  • Develop and maintain regulatory knowledge for the regulatory team on matters related to the development of policies, laws, and regulations of telecom and digital markets.

Requirements:

Any other tasks requested by the Regulatory Affairs Director.
