Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Manager to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our business intelligence team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing robust reporting and analytical systems that drive business insights and inform strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Design and develop detailed specifications for development and maintenance of reporting and analytical systems, ensuring they meet business requirements and are scalable for future growth.
  • Quantitative Modeling: Drive the development of quantitative models necessary for evaluation and implementation of metrics, providing data-driven insights to inform business decisions.
  • Project Management: Manage and execute entire projects or components of large projects from start to finish, including project management, data gathering and manipulation, synthesis and modeling, problem solving, and communication of insights and recommendations.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of business analysts, business intelligence engineers, data engineers, and data scientists to deliver roadmap projects while also supporting their personal learning goals and growth.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior leadership and stakeholders to build operational plans, ensuring alignment with business objectives and strategic initiatives.
Requirements
  • Business Intelligence Experience: 7+ years of experience in business intelligence and analytics, with a strong background in data visualization, statistical modeling, and data warehousing.
  • Team Management: 5+ years of experience managing a business intelligence or analytics team, including employee development and performance management.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, ETL, data visualization tools (Tableau, Quicksight), and statistical/machine learning software (R, Python, Weka, SAS, Matlab).
