Job Description

As a Service Engineer at ABB, you will play a critical role in ensuring high-quality service work that meets customer expectations. Your primary responsibilities will include:

Main Accountabilities
  • Contributing to exceptional customer satisfaction by delivering complex service work that meets customer requirements.
  • Performing medium to high complex service tasks, including installation, commissioning, maintenance, upgrades, and retrofits, independently identifying technical problems and making analysis through remote or on-site activities.
  • Providing timely, cost-effective solutions in accordance with standard processes, procedures, and safety guidelines.
  • Diagnosing technical problems, determining corrective actions, and repairing MODR systems via remote or on-site service.
  • Solving hardware and software functional compatibility issues and problems found during service intervention.
  • Providing assistance via service calls during and after hours as necessary.
  • Acting as the project technical leader in service projects by analyzing project requirements and clarifying project scope.
  • Ensuring the coordination of internal and external technicians and assigning them specific tasks related to service needs.
  • Keeping management informed of service missions/projects progress and any problems arising.
  • Ensuring the planning and execution of assigned service activities carried out in house and on site, and monitoring progress and long-term delivery.
  • Ensuring quality of services delivery in line with allocated cost and man hours.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in technical drives service
  • In-depth hands-on experience in drives field service
  • Solid background about Industry Applications
  • Good knowledge about customers' service culture and challenges
  • Knowledge of ABB VFD service experience is an added advantage
