Job Title: Emergency Procurement and Logistics Officer

WeWorld Onlus is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Emergency Procurement and Logistics Officer to join our team in Gaza. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and executing all procurement procedures and logistics activities for our projects and operational costs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and execute all procurement procedures and activities in accordance with WeWorld procurement procedures manual, Emergency SOP, and donor guidelines.
  • Write and manage requests for quotations, tenders, purchase orders, and high-level contracts, as well as contract management and follow-up.
  • Receive shipments and freight, customs clearance/shipping procedures, and execute lower-level procurement based on needs.
  • Support the preparation of logistics documentation needed for transportation, delivery, and stock management.
  • Ensure logistics activities are settled up and duly monitored for warehouse and distribution.
  • Archive all documentation needed for procurement and logistics and support the finance and program team for audit purposes.
  • Monitor and ensure a smooth-running general supply chain activities and administration, proposing adjustments where necessary.
  • Be responsible for a procurement database and establish fleet management systems in line with new context and operations.
  • Ensure premise and operational cost management, including Guest House's and offices, in Gaza.
  • Develop and manage asset database and emergency communication systems.
  • Support the emergency team in planning and communicating movements in Gaza.
  • Interact with the logistics team and work directly with project managers to ensure shared objectives are met.
  • Deploy clear new processes for ongoing market assessments and vendor partnerships.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications and Knowledge: Degree and specialization in Logistics/Supply Chain or related field, excellent English (oral and written), knowledge of PCM and humanitarian aid principles, and good computer skills.
  • Professional Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience as a Logistics Officer, with at least 1 year working with INGO in development or humanitarian contexts.
  • Skills and Abilities: Strong interpersonal relationships, ability to leverage business networks and partnerships, excellent interpersonal communication skills, ability to perform under stress conditions, capacity to work autonomously, flexibility, organizational and coordination skills, and highly adaptable and reactive in fast-paced emergency contexts.
