Key Responsibilities:

* Maintain a positive and professional relationship with all key stakeholders to ensure that they understand the value procurement brings and sees you as a trusted advisor.
* Perform spending analysis for the spending areas to identify optimization opportunities.
* Develop category management strategy for the key spending category.
* Lead the creation and execution of sourcing strategies for multiple service categories including the development of prioritization, timelines, and value delivery (sourcing pipeline).
* Responsible for sourcing, benchmarking and negotiating activities ensuring compliance with internal processes, continuous improvement in quality, service and total cost of ownership in line with business requirements.
* Drive and support strategic procurement projects.
* Identify suppliers and strategic partners by segmentation of spending based on risk, criticality, and volume of spending.
* Maintain cooperative working relationships with vendors to stay current with trends and technologies, products and services.
* Work closely with legal and business leaders to drive contracts towards completion.
* Work together with Global Procurement Team to find spend synergies and optimization.
* Report spend analysis and highlights to the Head of Global Procurement.

Requirements:

* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Finance, Science, Supply Chain or a related field.
* Experience in similar role preferably in the Biotech/Pharmaceutical/Life-science sector.
* Ability to manage and lead the creation and execution of sourcing strategies for multiple service categories including the development of prioritization, timelines, and value delivery.
* Knowledge of the main productivity and collaboration tools (Google Workspace, M SOffice).
* Familiarity with Procurement tools (e.g. SAP, ServiceNow, Jaggaer and Concur).
* Understanding of the biotech sales and marketing, logistics and corporate spend suppliers, products, and competitors.
* Comprehensions of the Procurement processes and capabilities, management process and Supply Chain Processes.
* Languages: Both English and Italian are mandatory.
