Principal Solution Architect, Emerging Technologies

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Solution Architect to join our team at SITA. As a key member of our Emerging Technologies team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing innovative solutions that drive business value and growth.

About You
  • You have a strong background in engineering and computer technologies, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in IT, including design, deployment, and management of complex solutions.
  • You have a proven track record of delivering high-quality solutions, with a strong engineering background and excellent technical skills.
  • You are an excellent communicator, with the ability to tailor your message to diverse audiences and stakeholders.
  • You have a strong desire to create a significant impact for the company and assist others, with a natural ability to learn quickly and envision how to apply new technologies to solve customer and business problems.
  • You are comfortable presenting, facilitating group discussions, and collaborating across a social network to develop and evolve ideas and quantify their respective value.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement innovative solutions that drive business value and growth.
  • Lead technical teams and projects to success, with a strong focus on delivery and quality.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including customers, partners, and internal teams.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends, with a natural ability to learn quickly and envision how to apply them to solve customer and business problems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new technologies and solutions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Technologies.
  • 10+ years of diverse IT experience, including design, deployment, and management of complex solutions.
  • Minimum of 2 years in enterprise or solution architecture roles, with related roles like Solution Engineering, Product Engineering, or Service Operations beneficial.
  • Proven consultative selling and a track record of influencing various stakeholders.
  • Versatility in multiple technologies, delivery methods, and software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, SCRUM), Architectural Design Patterns, design thinking, and Business Process Modeling (BPMN).
  • Strong communication, legal compliance knowledge, and financial acumen.
  • Knowledge of information legislation, such as the Data Protection Act and GDPR.
Technical Expertise
  • Experience designing and building microservices-based messaging and event-driven systems and architectures.
  • Experience with REST and SOAP messaging patterns and libraries.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes, cloud-native deployments (AWS, Azure) are a plus.
  • SQL and NoSQL databases such as MySQL, Postgres, MongoDB, Cassandra, and Elastic Search.
  • Experience with JavaScript and JavaScript/Typescript frameworks (e.g., Angular) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Python and machine learning model training and deployment a plus.
