Job Overview
As a Senior Investment Officer at the International Finance Corporation (IFC), you will play a key role in driving business growth and development in emerging markets. The IFC is a member of the World Bank Group, working to end extreme poverty and boost shared prosperity on a livable planet.

The Financial Institutions Group (FIG) within the IFC is responsible for approximately 40% of the organization's business volume, profitability, and development reach. FIG engages in various sub-sectors, including microfinance, SMEs, gender, climate, insurance, capital markets, housing, distressed assets, and more.

About the Role
This position requires an experienced professional to join the Middle East, Central Asia, Türkiye, Pakistan, and Afghanistan (MCT) Team, which originates, manages, and monitors IFC's financial sector investments. As a Senior Investment Officer, you will contribute to growing and developing the investment business while taking an active role in supervising the FIG investment portfolio across MCT.

Duties and Accountabilities
- Develop long-term relationships with key clients and stakeholders to identify and act on business opportunities
- Work with clients to improve the quality of IFC's investment
- Supervise the gathering of lessons learned from essential topics across the portfolio
- Contribute to cross-regional business development strategy formulation and implementation
- Collaborate across IFC, World Bank, and MIGA to support business development for IDA PSW and other Blended Finance facilities

Key Responsibilities
- Lead successful negotiations with clients and stakeholders based on in-depth understanding of IFC requirements and client interests
- Analyze strategically important portfolio trends to identify areas of concentration and contributing factors
- Conduct quality control to ensure accuracy and adequacy of analytical work performed by junior staff

Requirements
- Master's degree in a related field, such as business administration, finance, economics, or another relevant area of expertise specific to the financial sector
- At least 12 years of relevant experience in business consulting, investment banking, or operational experience in the sector or technical field
