About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Manager to join our team at Thunder Supply. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for developing and executing supply chain and distribution strategies that align with our overall goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute supply chain and distribution strategies to ensure cost savings, reduce lead times, maintain stock levels, and improve supplier relationships.
  • Oversee the entire supply chain and operations process, including planning, procurement, expediting, logistics (inbound and outbound), warehousing, and distribution.
  • Monitor delivery schedules, proactively address potential delays, and ensure all stakeholders are informed of delivery status.
  • Develop and implement strategies to forecast future cash requirements based on upcoming vendor payments and analyze the company's cash flow.
  • Oversee the procurement process to ensure procured materials are sourced from the right supplier, at the right cost, and with the right quality.
  • Manage freight costs, negotiate rates with transportation providers, consolidate shipments, and continuously monitor freight costs.
  • Improve internal supply chain processes and systems, including software and automation tools, to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Maintain compliance with relevant regulations, including trade and import/export regulations, customs laws, and stay up to date with changes in regulations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, operations management, engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of total work experience in supply chain management, logistics, or operations.
  • Managerial experience: 3+ years of managing or supervising.
  • Relevant work experience in the oil and gas industry is highly preferred.
  • Experience using supply chain management software, such as SAP or other ERP systems.
  • Experience and skills in project management, risk assessment, and mitigation strategies.
  • Experience with data analysis, data visualization, and other technical tools.
  • Specific industry knowledge, including regulations and standards such as import/export requirements and safety and environmental regulations.
  • Understanding of how to use SAP modules, including reporting and analytics tools.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM), or Certified Logistics Professional (CLP) are a plus.
