Key Responsibilities:- Strategy and Execution: Develop and execute supply chain and distribution strategies to identify opportunities for cost savings, reduce lead times, maintain stock levels, and improve supplier relationships.
- Supply Chain Oversight: Oversee the entire supply chain and operations process, including planning, procurement, expediting, logistics (inbound and outbound), warehousing, and distribution. Monitor delivery schedules, proactively address potential delays, and ensure stakeholders are informed of delivery status.
- Payment Planning: Develop and implement strategies with the finance department to forecast future cash requirements based on upcoming vendor payments and analyze the company's cash flow to ensure funds are available for necessary payments.
- Procurement: Oversee the procurement process to ensure materials are procured from the right source, at the right cost, and with the right quality. Conduct supplier due diligence, negotiate contracts, and continuously monitor supplier performance to minimize risks and ensure best value for procurement spend.
- Freight Management: Manage the company's freight costs by negotiating rates with transportation providers, consolidating shipments, monitoring freight costs, and implementing measures to reduce costs while maintaining delivery schedules.
- Internal Processes: Improve internal supply chain processes and systems, including software and automation tools, to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Streamline processes, reduce costs, and improve overall performance while enabling data-driven decision making and continuous improvement.
