  • Review and analyze G 4 to 9 curricula framework, students’ performance indicators, formative and summative learning assessment including international and national tests.
  • Guide the development, administration, analysis and report findings of a diagnostic assessment for G4 to 9 at the start of the academic year 2021 - 22 of which results will inform the intervention program design.
  • Through a co-creation process, guide the design of a 2-year blended / hybrid modality education recovery intervention for Grade 4 - 9 to address educational loss and improve student learning based on relevant global and national standards, criteria, and students’ performance indicators, supported by successful experiences and initiatives currently implemented by MOE and supported by various stakeholders particularly USAID’s RAMP and the 2021 one-month remedial program.
  • The intervention design should apply an assessment informed remedial instruction strategy through a “teaching at the right level” (TaRL) approach, hence adopting ongoing diagnostic, formative, and summative assessment methods.
  • The intervention design should capitalize on the lessons learned of the Coaching and Mentoring for early grades (RAMP) and consider scale it up for G4 to 9 while the MOE is operationalizing the new supervisor job description.
  • The intervention design will ensure gender integration and inclusion principles as a cross cutting theme.
