Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about software quality and eager to grow their skills in both manual and automated testing. You will work closely with developers, product owners, and business analysts in an Agile/Scrum environment to help ensure high-quality software releases. While prior exposure to QA practices and tools is beneficial, we are looking for someone who is enthusiastic to learn, proactive, and ready to contribute to real-world projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and execute manual and automated test cases for web, and API applications.
  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business analysts to understand requirements and define acceptance criteria.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and exploratory testing.
  • Develop and maintain test automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.).
  • Ensure API testing using tools like Postman, jMeter, RestAssured, Swagger.
  • Identify, document, and track defects using tools like Jira, Azure DevOps.
  • Validate performance, security, and scalability of applications where applicable.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated tests into the build and release process.
  • Ensure testing follows industry best practices, QA methodologies, and Agile/Scrum workflows.
  • Provide clear test documentation, reports, and feedback to stakeholders.

  • Manual testing: functional, regression, smoke, UAT, exploratory
  • Test design techniques (boundary value analysis, equivalence partitioning, risk-based testing)
  • Agile/Scrum QA practices (shift-left testing, test-first approaches)
  • Automation Tools & Frameworks
  • Web automation: Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Playwright
  • API testing: Postman, RestAssured, Swagger, SoapUI
  • Test frameworks: NUnit, JUnit, xUnit, Jasmine, Mocha, Cucumber
  • Performance & Security Testing (Preferred)
  • Tools: JMeter, Gatling, k6 for load/performance testing
  • Basic familiarity with OWASP and security testing concepts
  • DevOps & CI/CD Integration
  • Version control: Git
  • CI/CD: Azure DevOps
  • Containerized test environments with Docker (nice-to-have)
  • Bug Tracking & Collaboration
  • Jira, Azure DevOps
  • Strong communication with developers, product owners, and stakeholders
