The Opportunity

As IoT Senior engineer, you will manage the design, development, and deployment of IoT solutions within our data analytics platforms. You will coordinate with Product Managers, Architects, and Software Engineers to deliver secure, scalable IoT capabilities supporting our enterprise-grade projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop IoT system architectures from edge to cloud, including device communication, telemetry, and data pipelines.

- Implement and maintain device firmware, protocol stacks (MQTT, CoAP, etc.), and edge intelligence modules.

- Establish engineering best practices for IoT reliability, energy efficiency, and fault tolerance.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements, product milestones, and deployment timelines.

- Lead the technical execution of IoT projects from POC through deployment, ensuring scalability and compliance.

- Own and evolve the IoT architecture roadmap in alignment with business objectives.

- Act as a key liaison between the IoT team and hardware, integration, backend, and cloud infrastructure teams.

- Ensure seamless interoperability across connected devices and cloud platforms.

- Provide regular updates on technical progress, risks, and mitigation plans.

- Stay informed on emerging IoT platforms, edge computing solutions, and LPWAN/connectivity standards.

- Evaluate and introduce relevant technologies to advance innovation and system capability.

Comply with QHSE (Quality Health Safety and Environment), Business Continuity, Information Security, Privacy, Risk, Compliance Management and Governance of Organizations policies, procedures, plans, and related risk assessments.

Requirements

Requirements:

- Master's Degree (or equivalent) in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

- 5-7 years of experience delivering IoT solutions with a focus on engineering project management

- Expertise in:

o IoT protocols and device communication

o Edge computing, RTOS, and embedded firmware

o Secure OTA updates, telemetry, and provisioning

o System observability and debugging

- Deep understanding of IoT protocols (MQTT, CoAP), device lifecycle management, and edge computing architectures

- Experience with embedded software development, data pipelines, and cloud IoT services (AWS IoT, Azure IoT)

- Familiarity with security practices for IoT deployments

- Excellent project management and stakeholder coordination skills.

- Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration in IoT environments.

- Fluent English and Arabic is required
