About the role
We are looking for a skilled MEP Quantity Surveyor to prepare accurate BOQs, tender packages, and cost estimates for a wide range of civil, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing projects. The role involves coordinating with engineering teams, subcontractors, and procurement to ensure precise quantities, pricing, and technical documentation. The person will be based in our Amman office and will support our Middle East projects.
What you'll do
- Prepare detailed Bill of Quantities (BOQs) for all C-MEP (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) disciplines.
- Develop tender BOQ templates and include the necessary clauses for correct pricing.
- Review drawings, specifications, and project scope to extract quantities accurately.
- Maintain BOQ submission logs and provide structured tender documentation.
- Coordinate with engineering departments and subcontractors to collect all documents required for tendering.
- Support Procurement in reviewing submittals and completing technical evaluations.
- Assist in tender analysis, cost comparison, and recommendation reports.
- Ensure alignment between BOQ, technical scope, drawings, and material specifications.
- Participate in value engineering efforts, identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Travel within the Middle East as required.
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred), or Civil Engineering related to MEP.
- 5+ years of experience preparing BOQs for C-MEP project "civil, mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing" projects.
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems, materials, and construction methodologies.
- Proficient in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit preferred.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and organizational capabilities.
- Excellent communication and English language proficiency.
- Ability to work cross-functionally between engineering and procurement teams.
