About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Social Media Marketing Executive to join our team at Canonical. As a key member of our marketing team, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with our brand goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Content Creation and Curation: Develop, schedule, and publish engaging content across multiple social media platforms, including LinkedIn, YouTube, Twitter, Meta, Instagram, and Reddit.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Share regular updates and reporting on social media metrics, content performance, and campaign results to inform future marketing strategies.
  • Audience Growth and Engagement: Grow and nurture Canonical's social media audiences, increase engagement rates, and develop a deep understanding of our target audience.
  • Copywriting and A/B Testing: Develop flair with copywriting to create messaging that aligns with the brand and drives results, and run A/B tests to optimize content performance.
  • Platform and Community Moderation: Be audience-centric, focus on platform and community moderation, and drive awareness on integrated campaigns, product launches, webinar series, industry announcements, and core content.
  • Product Portfolio Showcase: Demonstrate Canonical's product portfolio in a creative way, highlighting our expertise in areas such as bare metal, AI, Kubernetes, and diversity.
Requirements
  • Experience: Experience managing social media platforms for tech brands, part of a content team or marketing agency.
  • Skills: Hands-on knowledge of social media management tools, an understanding of web analytics tools (social and web), and proficiency with at least four social media platforms.
  • Analytical and Communication Skills: An analytical eye, a good sense for the type of content that performs best depending on platform and objective, and exceptional interpersonal skills and aptitude for forging trusting relationships across diverse, cross-functional teams.
  • Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel up to 4 times a year for internal events.
