Evaluation Specialist Job Description
">The role of the Evaluation Specialist is to support Country Offices in implementing a plan of evaluation activities that provide meaningful and useful strategic information to manage Country Programmes.

- Evaluation Leadership: Support Country Offices in developing and implementing a plan of evaluation activities, monitoring evaluation performance indicators, and providing guidance on adaptive measures.">
- Evaluation Conduct and Use: Ensure that UNICEF-supported evaluations meet established UN quality standards, resulting in evaluation reports of satisfactory quality and timely dissemination of findings.">
- Evaluation Capacity Strengthening and Partnership Building: Strengthen evaluation capacities of Country Office staff and national partners, enabling them to engage in and lead evidence-generating processes.">
Requirements:
">An Advanced University Degree in social sciences, economics, public policy, statistics, or research methods is required. A degree or certification/accreditation in Evaluation is a significant advantage.
">A minimum of 8 years of professional experience in implementation of equity-focused evaluations and management of the evaluation function at national and international levels is required.
">Desirable Skills and Qualifications:
">Experience in evaluation design and conducting evaluations as per UNEG norms and standards for Evaluation, with knowledge of experimental and quasi-experimental evaluation approaches.
">Familiarity with ethics review processes, procurement for evaluation services, and innovative techniques for data collection and analysis.
">Use of data and information quantitative and qualitative software for data analysis, with knowledge of UNICEF & UNEG Evaluation norms & standards.
