Humanitarian Access and Risk Management Professional

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team as a Humanitarian Access and Risk Manager. As part of our mission, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our operations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and monitoring our safety and security framework at the country level. You will ensure that our policies are followed, provide valuable information to support operational decision-making, and lead training and capacity-building initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing strategic advice on humanitarian access and risk management to support operational decisions
  • Leading the implementation of our safety and security framework, including updating and rolling out our security package
  • Conducting training and capacity-building programs to enhance team members' knowledge and skills
  • Networking with key stakeholders to improve security monitoring and analysis
  • Producing and updating detailed security maps using GIS tools
  • Supporting crisis management and decision-making processes
  • Elaborating incident reports and supporting daily security clearance for movements

Requirements:

  • Relevant university degree in project management, humanitarian aid, development, geopolitics, or a related field
  • Similar experience working with international NGOs in high-risk humanitarian contexts (operational, logistical, or security positions)
  • Study and/or training in security management is an asset
  • Knowledge and mastery of security management methodologies and tools for humanitarian missions
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written) and knowledge of Arabic is an asset

  • Gross monthly salary: €3,359
  • Position based in Amman, Jordan
  • Expatriation bonus (10% gross salary per month)
