Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct research and analysis on gender and health issues in the Middle East, with a focus on refugee contexts.
  • Develop and implement research designs, protocols, and tools to collect and analyze data.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including community leaders, healthcare providers, and other experts, to ensure that research is relevant and effective.
  • Write and disseminate research reports, articles, and other materials to inform policy and practice.
  • Provide technical assistance and capacity-building support to IRC staff and partners on research methods and gender and health programming.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in a health-related field, such as public health, epidemiology, or global health.
  • At least 3 years of experience in research and analysis, with a focus on gender and health issues in the Middle East.
  • Strong proficiency in both spoken and written English and Arabic (fluency required).
  • Experience working in Jordan (or in the Middle East) and in the region working with underserved or displaced populations is a plus.
  • Qualitative research/human-centered design research skills.
  • Expertise in working on critical issues with vulnerable populations and knowledge of relevant ethical guidelines and procedures.
  • Dedication to principles of gender equality, human rights, and social justice.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent time management.
  • Experience in peer review process.
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis software.
  • Skilled in report writing and development.
