Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Technician to join our team at Marriott International. As a key member of our maintenance operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Follow all company and safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Report maintenance problems, safety hazards, and accidents to ensure prompt resolution.
  • Complete safety training and certifications to stay up-to-date with industry standards.
  • Properly store flammable materials to prevent accidents.
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional at all times.
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and management using clear and professional language.
  • Prepare and review written documents accurately and completely.
  • Answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues to achieve common goals.
  • Support team members to ensure seamless operations.
  • Listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of colleagues.
  • Perform physical tasks such as moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight using fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
  • Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines to identify defects.
  • Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of experience in mechanical maintenance or a related field.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
