Job Title: Humanitarian Analyst

UNDP is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Humanitarian Analyst to join our team in [Location].

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analysis and Reporting: Continuously analyze the situation in the camps and host community, providing regular reports to the Programme Coordinator on major changes and trends.
  • Programme Support: Collaborate with the programme team to ensure that SRHR and SGBV humanitarian interventions are implemented in line with the Country Office plans, and that IPs provide high-quality services with technical specialist support.
  • Needs Assessment and Inclusion: Support the programme team in assessing the needs of women and girls, ensuring effective inclusion of GBV and SRH issues in the UNFPA plan and the Jordan Humanitarian Response Plan.
  • Interagency Meetings: Attend interagency meetings in the camps, sharing outcomes with the Health Policy Specialist for the Health Sector/RH Working Group and the Gender and Social Policy Specialist for GBV Sub Sector.
  • Communication and Coordination: Support senior officers in communicating with camps' management to ensure a multi-sectoral approach for GBV and SRH services, and collaborate with NGOs in assessing progress and making recommendations for adjustments.
  • Capacity Building: Support the programme team in reviewing the capacity of IPs, making recommendations for required training for service providers in SRH and SGBV, including participant selection, trainer selection, and follow-up actions.
  • Logistics and Administration: Provide logistical and administrative support to the country office regarding UNFPA's interventions in humanitarian response, in accordance with UNFPA policies.
  • Documentation and Communication: Work with the communication team to document good practices and assist the BCC Specialist in producing BCC materials and distribution plans.
  • Emergency Preparedness: Assist the Programme Coordinator in scanning the environment to provide early warning information and ensure preparedness mechanisms in the country office for addressing timely responses to potential emergencies.
  • Appeals and Coordination: Support the Programme Coordinator and Programme Specialists in coordinating the country office in the preparation of appeals for the CAP process, through networking with UNHCR and other stakeholders at the country level as necessary.

Requirements: The ideal candidate will have a strong background in humanitarian response, with experience in programme coordination, analysis, and reporting. Excellent communication and coordination skills are essential, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
