About the Role

Datahub Analytics is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Modeler to play a pivotal role in designing, optimizing, and maintaining our data architecture to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.

The Senior Data Modeler will work closely with stakeholders in both technical and business areas to develop conceptual, clear physical data models that represent the organization's data requirements and business processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Design and Development: Design and develop input data for planning/modelling operation and analysis.
  • Model Enhancements and Maintenance: Conduct enhancements and maintenance to models and tools.
  • Data Management Solutions: Understand end-to-end solutions and suggest data management solutions that will meet or exceed the expectations of the customers.
  • Data Quality and Consistency: Ensure that data designs meet business requirements and systems goals and identify and resolve data quality and consistency issues.
  • Business Process Analysis: Understand how data supports business processes and how to find gaps in data or processes and then develop strategies for improving these systems.
  • Support to Development Projects: Support new and existing development projects with data and process modelling activities.
  • Database and Data Warehouse Design: Perform database and data warehouse design across multiple platforms.
  • Data Analysis and Modelling: Perform data analysis for source system data and develop conceptual, logical, and physical models.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Conducts thorough unit testing.
  • Estimation and Communication: Estimates level of effort for work assignments and requests received, then communicates accordingly to the Project Manager to determine delivery time.
  • Data Governance: Participate in data governance processes related to data quality and information management.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience working with data models.
  • Skills: Strong analytical, problem solving, and work management skills. Proficiency with some leading data profiling tools (such as SQL, BI tools, SSAS, DAX, semantic layers technology... etc). Strong knowledge of data modelling best practices. Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals. Ability to lead and manage junior resources.
  • Expertise: Expertise in entity, logical and physical data models. Exposure and understanding of Big Data technologies and architectures.
